Why We Support Her
As the only woman in the state's Congressional Delegation, and as the first African American woman elected to Congress from New Jersey, Watson Coleman puts a focus on often overlooked issues that are important to our membership.
She is an advocate for a living wage -- the idea that one full-time job should be enough to afford to live in the US. She is a fierce advocate for protecting the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and supports wage transparency and wage recovery legislation so that equal work truly means equal pay. Watson Coleman is also a strong supporter of vocational and technical education and supports tuition forgiveness for vo-tech and college higher education.
Our choice is clear, and we choose Bonnie Watson Coleman.
