Why We Support Him
Kowalko is a retired 26-year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local Lodge 687 who fights for the issues important to our membership and working men and women across the state.
Kowalko supports raising the minimum wage to a true living wage, so that anyone working a full time job can afford to live with dignity. He vehemently opposes so-called "right-to-work" laws, believing "it is the sacred right of all working individuals to organize and enable a fair consideration for their labors."
Kowalko supports expanding prevailing wage and Project Labor Agreements to all taxpayer-funded work projects and would bar such contracts from being awarded to contractors who interfere with workers' rights to organize.
Our choice is clear, and we choose John Kowalko.
