Why We Support Him
In an era of hyper partisanship in Washington, Gottheimer is a breath of fresh air -- the nonpartisan Lugar Center named Gottheimer the most bipartisan freshman member of Congress, for his efforts to broker bi-partisan solutions to the nation's toughest issues as the co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus.
To that end, Gottheimer has been a strong advocate for transportation issues affecting New Jersey: from demanding funding for the Gateway rail tunnel project; to working to improve the safety and security of NJ Transit; to increasing bus and light rail transportation options in North Jersey. He is also working on ways to close the skills gap between employers and prospective employees, by increasing the focus on science, engineering and math in high school and by working with local businesses to provide skills training and retraining.
Our choice is clear, and we choose Josh Gottheimer.
